Brad Tallon, Chairman SEQ Division presents Micah Projects with a cheque in support of its programs addressing domestic violence and homelessness.  A total of $2776.36 was raised at the annual Women in League function held in July, from raffles and auctions in support of this year's charity partner, Micah Projects.  Belinda Cox, Programs Manager, Brisbane Domestic Violence Service expressed her gratitude for the backing of the Greater Brisbane rugby league community in helping to raise awareness of the issue, as well as the tangible financial assistance.

The Women in League function culminated with Steve Tierney, Chairman GBJRL announcing the 2017 Female Volunteer of the Year be awarded to Debbie Sellin, Dayboro & Districts JRL.
