Storky's Preview: Round 4
It’s Round 4 and the competition is ticking away with Clermont Men and Women undefeated this year so far.
The Middlemount Panthers had a good win over the Mountain Men and remain undefeated so well done to all three teams.
This week we have the Middlemount Panthers travelling to Emerald to play the Tigers.
The Tigers had a slow start to the year and finally had their win against the Rabbitohs in Bluff. It was a big effort from the Tigers as Bluff are rarely beaten at home. I’m tipping the Tigers over Middlemount on that result and they have plenty of players at home.
The in-form Clermont Bears travel to Bluff in the longest distance road trip for the Bears in the season. Bluff will be revved up after that loss and will be looking to win at all costs. I’m tipping Bluff to get up in a close one.
Dysart host the Springsure Mountain Men and after last week’s loss, the Mountain Men should be back to full strength. Despite this, I’m tipping the Bulls will win at home as they will be wanting their first one for the year and the Mountain Men didn’t travel well last week.
The Dysart Ladies host the Emerald Tigers Ladies and the Tigers will be probably be too strong for Dysart as they have good players all over the park.
The Emerald Cowboys travel to Blackwater and the Crushers have been playing good football of late and will continue that form and should beat the Cowboys.
The Cowgirls are up against Blackwater away and the Crushettes have had a win and two losses, including last week to Clermont. The Crushettes will be hard to beat at home but the Cowgirls are getting better each week.
Enjoy your local footy and make sure you all buy a Mark Hughes beanie to support brain cancer research.
