Get Started Vouchers - Declared Disaster Areas

For those clubs in declared disaster areas due to the North and Far North Queensland Monsoon Trough, there is no need to worry about potential eligible members missing out on Get Started Vouchers.  The Queensland Government has ensured that vouchers will be available for those affected to apply once they are back on their feet.  If you receive any enquiries, please request that they register their details with the team on 13QGOV or email

The program provides eligible Queensland children and young people aged 5 to 17 (inclusive) who can least afford to join a sport or recreation club with a voucher valued up to $150 for membership and/or registration fees. Round 13 will close when all available vouchers are issued. If the voucher allocation is not reached, the round will close on 10 April 2019.

Over 4300 clubs have registered for the program. Clubs can apply for registration for Get Started Vouchers at any time. Registration is valid for the entire program period so there is no need to register for each round.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
