PETER RYAN LEAVES GROUP NINE
GROUP Nine operations manager Peter Ryan has abruptly ended his three-year stint in the important position.
After originally announcing he would stand down at the Group Nine annual general meeting in October, Ryan made the shock move to tender his immediate resignation at Twickenham on Saturday.
“I’m finished effective now,” Ryan said.
“I’m no longer doing it.”
Ryan’s decision leaves Group Nine without an administrative chief and will put significant pressure on president Jack Morton and the rest of the board to cover his critical role.
Ryan said the elements of the handling of the Dan Kilian matter had fast-tracked his resignation.
