2017 Canterbury-Bankstown White Ribbon Tug O' War Cup

White Ribbon Day is an international campaign led by men who are taking a stand and speaking out against violence towards women. These men are STRONG MEN who swear to stand up, speak out and act to prevent men’s violence against women.

Did you know that in Australia:
- At least 1 woman is killed every week by a current or former partner?
- 1 in 3 women over the age of 15 report having experienced physical or sexual violence at some time in their lives?

Local businesses, schools, organisations and residents are encouraged to submit their teams of five to compete in the 2017 Canterbury-Bankstown White Ribbon Tug O’ War Cup taking place on Friday 24 November 2017.

The day will involve male teams competing against each other in a fun Tug O’ War competition to show their support towards the campaign. Participants and spectators will also have the opportunity to take the White Ribbon Oath to pledge their support for the campaign.

A barbecue lunch will be available on the day. Team registrations are free and essential. For more information and to register, call 9707 9471 or go to cb.city/whiteribbonday

Registrations close Wednesday 15 November 2017. Registration conditions apply.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
