Junior domination continues as 15s edge towards ASSRL Glory

The Victorian U15 team have followed the lead of the U18s last week with a dominant group stage performance at the U15 ASSRL Championships.


The schoolboy Victorian’s will go in strong favourites against Northern Territory in today’s final at Wollongong having defeated them 42-12 on the tournaments opening day.


Craigieburn Secondary College’s Kornellias Akeli was named man of the match that game while Zacharius Fuimaono scored two tries.


Fuimaono again loomed large for the Victorian’s in the tournaments second day scoring another two tries along with Poasa Telepe and Maurice Roberts as the Victorian’s smashed South Australia 68-0.


Victoria University Secondary College’s Compton Fuatimau was judged man of the match.


In their final group game the Victorian’s were again a class above as Rory Pretty ran riot scoring 4 tries in a man of the match display.


The Vic’s defeated Western Australia 60-0 to go into the final having scored 170 points and conceding just 12.
