SOUTH HOBART STORM v LAUNCESTON WARRIORS RD 3

The South Hobart Storm not only shocked the Launceston warriors, but the whole TRL competiton when they ran riot on the Warriors at Uni Oval on Saturday, winning 58-4

With the inclusion of 3 new players and a more confident approach to the game, the Storm where ruthless in both attack and defence.

Ex Australian school boys Rugby union fullback Shaun Khober added a new dimension to the Storm attack running great lines off five eight TK Amosa and created plenty of attacking options out wide.

The left and right worked well with both TK and Dave Brennan organising their sides of the ruck and they put the Warriors defence under plenty of pressure.

The forwards did a great job and new recruit Robbie Casboult added a lot of starch to the forward pack, well supported by Daniel Job and  young player Bryce Kaye, who was awarded players player after only playing his 3rd game of Rugby League.

Coach Mick Hunt was obviously pleased with the effort. "The squad have been working hard since the season started. The club have a lot of new players this season and it's been a slow process in teaching them a new structure, but it's all about patience and we are getting there slowly. From my point of view, their defence was the most pleasing aspect of the win. I am happy for the players that have been involved in the club since it started with no success over the last 2 seasons. They deserved this victory. However, I know that one win doesnt make a season, so we still have a lot of hard work to do, but it's a start"

The Storm have a bye next week and will be preparing for their next game against the Southern Rabbitohs.
