2011 Richardson Cup Finals Day
The final of the David Peachey Shield and Russel Richardson Cup took place in Dubbo on the 29th of June 2011. Thirty two winners and runners up from nine regional gala days across western NSW converged on Apex oval to compete for the title of 2011. Including the finals day over 250 team and 90 schools participated in the competitions. On the finals day the winners and runners up of each gala day were separated into four pools of four with the winners of each pool proceeding into the semi finals.
In the semi finals of the Richardson cup Assumption Bathurst Defeated St Josephs Blayney and St Pius X defeated Bletchington Public School. The great final was played out with Assumption Bathurst eventually winning 8 to 4. This was a great effort by Assumption who only had three tries scored against them all day. Russel Richardson presented Assumption Bathurst with the Richardson Cup as well as George Rose of Manley Sea Eagles presenting Noah Griffiths with an Xbox for winning man of the Match.
