The NSWRL is excited to announce the appointment of seven Club and Competition Coordinators throughout Sydney. NRL Elite Development Squad, Todd Smith will assume the role in the Northern Region, specifically focusing on the North Sydney and Manly District Junior Leagues.

Smith said he “was excited to be engaged within the Bear’s territory, and hopes to help the Clubs and the District as a whole grow and prosper into the future”. “My aim is to ease some of the burden carried by our Club’s with things like compliance, governance, and application of consistency across the game”.

As well as these goals, Todd with be responsible for actioning NSWRL programs into the North Sydney including creating Recreational Rugby League Competitions, conveying the #Respect program, delivering Conferenced Competitions and establishing Girls competitions in tackle and tag formats.

“My philosophy is fairly straight forward, if we can deliver participants a consistent and enjoyable game day experience, and offer competitions that are friendly and fun, then kids will continue to play the game”.  “I am really looking forward to meeting the people out in Club land, and getting to games within the District”.

North Sydney Football Operations Manager Josh Hyland, said he was looking forward to sharing a close working relationship with Smith, and sees his role as vital in creating firm links with all stakeholders across the game in the region.
