Fiji's best three join top event

SUVA, 20 NOVEMBER 2015 (FIJI TIMES) ----Three body builders will represent Fiji in the 2015 Australian Amateur Olympia in Gold Coast, Australia next week.

Fiji's top male body builder Inoke Ligiari along with Jekesoni Yanuyanudua and Ms Fiji Elizabeth Maki are waiting for their visas.

Bodybuilding and Fitness Fiji president John Lee said it was an exciting time for body building in Fiji.

"We were thankful to the funding which will help us with the trip and participation," he said.

"We are greatful to IFBB (International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness) for helping us get to the competition. Now we are waiting for the visa.

"The package from IFBB includes travelling and accommodation for our body builders."

The trio were impressive in the Mr and Ms Fiji Championship last weekend in Suva.

Lee said it would be good exposure.

"We do not want to compete in Fiji only but we also want to compete overseas to improve our sport," he added.

"Competing in such events is not easy as we had to go through so many qualifiers. And we have been invited to the competition."

The competition will be held from November 27-29....PACNEWS
