The game got off to a great start with both teams playing a fast paced and physical game on both ends of the floor. It wasn’t until just before the quarter time break where Tahiti put the foot down.

Team captain Manarai Thunot scored 16 points and was proud of his team’s performance.
“It was a good game that gives confidence to our team, and helps us for tomorrow.”
Thunot also said that his team came into the game more confident than their last.
“We had a tough game against Australia but we knew that we had what it takes get the win today. I’m happy we could make it happen.
As captain, Thunot accepts the challenges and responsibilities that come with the title.
“I want to help his team succeed during the tournament, this role is a big responsibility for anyone to have, I am happy to have been given the role.”
