Nine to Play for Gold

By close of entries as of midnight the 24th of July, 9 teams had registered to play in the Rugby Sevens competition. Noteable ommissions from the entry list were 2007 silver medalists, Samoa along with Tuvalu. Efforts to contact Samoa have to date proved futile.

Officials entries have been received from Fiji who will defend the gold medal from 2007, along with Tonga, Cook Islands, Niue, New Caledonia, Tahiti, Wallis and Futuna, Papua New Guinea, and Solomon Islands will make up a competitive field for this competition. Stay tuned for more developments.
