NMASA SEEKS ORGANIZERS FOR VARIOUS SPORTS

(Press Release) — The board of directors of the Northern Marianas Sports Association or NMASA is seeking expressions of interest from men and women to organize national federations and coach CNMI national teams in the following sports:

Wrestling

Softball

Bodybuilding

Table Tennis

Rugby 7s

Michael White

At one time, there were active federations in each of these sports, and under the leadership   of these federations, teams representing the CNMI participated   in the Micronesian   Games, the Pacific Games, and other international competitions with some success.

However,   over the past few years, federations   in these sports have become inactive, and with the exception of softball,   the sports are no longer being actively played in the CNMI.

NMASA believes that these are sports at which the CNMI can excel, and in which the CNMI should participate internationally.

However, in order to rebuild our programs in these sports, we need people who share our goals, who have the time and the interest to implement   them, and who are willing to make the effort to do so.

If there are men and women who are interested in organizing these sports in the CNMI, and in leading our national teams, NMASA would appreciate the opportunity to meet with them to discuss how we might progress toward our goal.

Please contact us by email at mwhite@saipan.com and tell us about your interest, your qualifications, and how we can help you to lead the CNMI forward in these sports.

NMASA looks forward to hearing from you!
