Vanuatu Tennis still on the run for 5 medals

Thursday 9 July 2015: The tennis team have won their first Silver medal and Vanuatu's second medal in the XV Pacific Games being played in Papua New Guinea.

At the end of their team competitions, Vanuatu came face to face with New Caledonia in the finals.

The Cyrille Jacobe led Vanautu team again displayed the Vanuatu resilient spirit by giving the New Caledonians a hard fought challenge for gold.

Meanwhile the tennis competitions still have 5 golds open for the taking. On Friday 10 July the competitions will start with the mixed doubles which Vanuatu will be represented by Lorrain and Leniker.

Then on Saturday 11 July they go to the doubles men and women, and singles men and women competitions.

Coach Andrew Mailterok is hopeful for more medals coming from his players.
