Sunday, July 6th, 2014, at 9:00 am, in the tribe of TIAOUE (Koné Northern Province of New Caledonia), was given the start of the Junior trans 2014.

On 48 Junior teams registrered (UNSS and out UNSS) 8 of them were 
2 teams from Lycée Montmarte
4 teams of the Vanuatu Institute of Technology
2 teams from Lycée Le Clézio

The two teams of Montmarte High School who won the two first position : MacKenzie TEILEMB, Anatole SAM, Jim MENESU took the 1st place  and Steeve TADOU, Eric TOM, Fabrizio METSAN the second, with a time of respectively 1h05mn and 1h07mn.

The number 3 position on the podium was won by ITV team (Pierre ALIK, Gideon PHILIP, Japhet NAMAHA composed the team) in 1h 09mn.

So ni-Vanuatu studentsfrom Port Vila won the three first position of the juniors Trans !!  

Vanuatu other teams have not fallen as they all have crossed the finish line in 5th place (ITV), 7th place (Lycée Le Clézio) 17th Position (Lycée Le Clézio) 18th Position (ITV) and 25th position (ITV).

Last year, the team from Lycée Le Clézio had crossed the line in 1st position with a time of 1h10mn. In 2014, Montmarte school beats this record with a time of 1h05mn: A new record to beat for the next years.

This generation of young promising Ni-Vanuatu athletes is good for the future.
