Pacific Games Council heads to conduct site visit

Pacific Games Council President Vidhya Lakhan and Executive Director Andrew Minogue will visit Guam on Thursday, August 24 and Friday, August 25, 2017 to conduct site inspections and meet with island dignitaries as they evaluate the bid submitted by the Guam National Olympic Committee in its efforts to host the 2019 Pacific Games.

Governor Eddie B. Calvo’s letter of support was received by the PGC this morning and was acted upon immediately as Minogue sent their itinerary just hours after receipt of the email.  In an earlier press release provided by the PGC, the Executive Director stated that announcement on the host of the 2019 Pacific Games will be made by the first days of September.

Members of the Guam National Olympic Committee are currently scrambling to meet the requests of the PGC executives with the short notice provided.
