Cook Islands are Welcomed to the Olympics

Team Cook Islands 22 member strong was welcomed today by the Village Mayor. Prior to the ceremony the team was caught up in photo taking, more focus towards the women of the team who were sepectacular with their head eis, the colour was a bonus.

Also this day was significant to the members of the team, as the 4th August represented the 51st celebration of Cook Islands Self Governing, back in Rarotonga was a public holiday, where celebrations are under way.

NOC President Hugh Graham with Cook Islands Government representative H.E. Roseline Blake BEM, weher both there to support the team.
