VIDEO: Megan Makes a Splash for America Samoa

Team American Samoa kicked off their London 2012 Olympic campaign, with 100m freestyler Megan Fonteno taking to the pool. Megan reflected on her race, and what she was feeling as she stepped out to take part in her first Olympic Games. Megan finished 6th in her heat, with an overall ranking of 35th, after a time of 57.45 seconds, just a tenth of a second off her personal best.

This film was produced by Matt of The Reporters' Academy, a media production company run by young people, tasked with the mission of telling the stories of Oceania's London 2012 Journey. The Reporters' Academy is integrated into the world of media, education and employment, based in two great sporting cities, Manchester and Melbourne and is officially Inspired by London 2012.
