Executive Masters in Sport Organisations Management (MEMOS) available in 2017 MEMOS XXI in English

Within the framework of the world programme International Executive Training Courses in Sport Management, Olympic Solidarity will offer support to the participants that have been nominated by their NOCs and admitted to the MEMOS programme.

NOCs wishing to propose a candidate for MEMOS should submit the following documents to MEMOS or Olympic Solidarity by the deadline of 15 June 2017:

- completed MEMOS candidature form ( MEMOS XXI Candidature Form.doc)
- letter of support from the candidate’s NOC and his or her sport organisation (if applicable),
- passport photo and copy of passport main page, and
- completed application for MEMOS scholarship ( MEMOS XXI scholarship - application form.docx).

The MEMOS selection committee, composed of representatives of MEMOS tutors and lecturers, will select approximately 35 participants for the English from among all candidates (those nominated by their NOCs and those that are either independent or supported by other organisations). Selection criteria include candidates’ academic qualifications, work responsibilities and professional experience, the proposed topic of a MEMOS project and equitable distribution of beneficiaries among the NOCs.

While conducting their internal selection process, NOCs should look for candidates that are likely to contribute to their sport organisation and the national sport system for years to come. They should also choose those candidates that propose a practical project with high potential of bringing direct benefit to their organisation.

Olympic Solidarity will offer MEMOS scholarships to the participants who have been admitted to the programme and whose NOCs have requested it. The scholarships cover MEMOS tuition and a participation subsidy (travel to all the modules and a contribution towards the accommodation costs).

The MEMOS brochure (MEMOS 2017-2018.pdf) contains general information on the objectives, structure and organisation of the MEMOS programme. Specific details of the academic content, dates and locations of MEMOS XXI in English is provided in the leaflets accompanying the brochure ( MEMOS XXI Leaflet.pdf ).

Liaise with your NOC’s for your applications to ask for any further information that you may require. Your NOCs will have a different due date, most likely one or two weeks before June 15th. The June 15th date is when all NOC's should submit their nominee to the MEMOS office.

All the course information and application form documents are available here:

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
