American Samoa men win against Palau
American Samoa dominates the game, Palau coming back, but American Samoa takes the win.
In the first quarter Palau wins the jump ball and number 6 from American Samoa scores the first two points. American Samoa has been playing good zone defence, pressuring Palau to shoot on the outside.
In the second quarter Number 13 Kelvin Tuamasaga, centre for American Samoa, plays exceptionally well, drawing fouls and going to the line shooting free throws. Number 10 Shaun Slave'a hits a good three pointer for American Samoa leading the game.
The second quarter brought the pressure on as David Paul Acosta number 4 from American Samoa has a dispute with Palau's number 10 Yutaka Gibbons Jr. causing both players to be subbed off for 5 minutes. American Samoa showed great full court press forcing Palau to make the long pass. This gave American Samoa great opportunity to widen their lead.
In the third quarter the game started picking up speed and aggression. It started to become a very close game as Palau started to catch up.
