This strength and conditioning technical expert was a member of the historic Team Fiji rugby sevens team to the Rio Olympic Games. NACANI CAWANIBUKA is the winner of the Paradise Beverages 2016 Sports Technical Official of the Year.
FIJI WATER - 2016 SPORTS VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR – MEREIA BELO
Despite health issues this volunteer has been committed to the sport she loves as an administrator of all local sanctioned events, has successfully organised training for volunteers to follow in her footsteps and also assisted the coordination of technical officials during events. Fiji Volleyball Federation's MEREIA BELO is the winner of the Fiji Water 2016 Sports Volunteer of the Year
ANZ 2016 SPORTS COACH OF THE YEAR – BEN RYAN
This Coach has been responsible for masterminding Fiji’s first Olympic medal and that of Gold - Fiji Rugby Union Coach and the world famous BEN RYAN
TAPPOO 2016 SPORTS PHOTOGRAPH OF THE YEAR- ADI NACOLA
The criteria for this award is that photographs should depict a sporting theme or a person or persons engaged in a sport and demonstrate the creativity of the photographer, preferably action scenes portraying the unique features of the subject. The winning Tappoo 2016 Sports Photograph of the Year is awarded to the photograph captioned: "TARGET ACHIEVED" that captures Weightlifting Fiji's Isikeli Dau successfully completing his lift at the 2016 Oceania Weightlifting Championships. The photographer of this winning photo is Adi Nacola whose nomination was submitted by Weightlifting Fiji.

WEIGHTLIFTING FIJI organised regular competitions throughout the year, conducted talent identification programs and training camps, hosted the Oceania Federation's Championships, participated in regional and international events culminating in the qualification of two athletes for the Rio Olympic Games.
FORTECH 2016 YOUNG FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR – Sally Yee
At the age of 15 this young athlete became the youngest Fiji athlete to participate at the Olympic Games. A quiet hardworking, determined and self-driven athlete has made her the top athlete in her sport today Fiji Table Tennis Association's SALLY YEE is the winner of this award.
POWERADE 2016 YOUNG MALE ATHLETE OF THE YEAR - SITIVENI TIMI
Despite the destruction of his home from Cyclone Winston, this young athlete managed a gold winning performance at the Oceania Championship in 2016. The Powerade Young Male Athlete of the Year is awarded to SITIVENI TIMI nominated by Weightlifting Fiji.
