In honor of National Women's Day

On Tuesday 8th March 9am at Sport Complex in Betio, the inclusive program for both people with disability and mental have fun with different sport such as table tennis, badminton and basketball games. There are officials game and organize their own games to help these people stay active, healthy and play like people who are strong. One of them basketball staff, NBDO & H4H Coordinator.

"TOAMATOA" is known as people who are active, capable and can do any move like people who are not with disabiliy which is opposite to people with disabilites. This name is given these people keeping them strong and could be encouraging to do impossible things.  "TE MEERIA" stands for people who are sick (mental) known as the name of the best flower in Kiribati which can assist these people keeping them clean, hygenic and stay away from bad things.

It is good and interesting to work with these people that day as it is also new to baskketball. While the program proceed NBDO and other officials have a chance met them and plan to run basketball activities with them. Mrs Clair Co-ordinator for this ward and two officers were proposed to Mr Iotia P to visit the Meeria Ward at any time available for one day basketball games and coaching clinics as well as to help people on their way released from the mental ward. Not only mental ward but together with disabilities were Tek and Joe plan as well to conduct basketball with them.
