On October 1, 2015 Hoops for Health Administrator and NBDO visited Rannaba Community to deliver 3x3 Basketball rules and also outlines what the Program could provide as to support development of Basketball and health in the Community. The Session was conducted at the court in Teaoraereke Village about 3 kilometers away from the Community.
The Administrator was giving a short remarks outlining what the program required of them and what it could provide. He also acknowledged that Raurenti Beeta one of the Hoops for Health coaches had been officially assigned to voluntarily assist their Community with their Basketball skills - He would be the one responsible for the report to the Administrator. He also acknowledged that NBDO and himself would be making a visit twice a week to see if they needed assistance.
The NBDO started his session with outlining marks on the court. Then he tested them by asking questions on the name of marks. After that, he went through 3x3 Basketball rules verbally and then allowed the six volunteers players to play the game so that the Community could be able to see what exactly they needed to know.
The kids were then given a time to play the 3x3 Basketball to see what they learned. Fortunately, they played well and they showed that they learned fast.
Before leaving we collected their names and details, so we could register them in the data. There were five balls, 1 set of bibs, 1 whistle given to Raurenti for the Community ongoing Basketball practice.
