Nationals humble 4x4 Wheelers in IP&E NBL 2013
The Nationals 19 and Under squad came out guns blazing as they went on to beat 4x4 Wheelers, 89-60 Friday night in the ongoing 2013 season of the Shell IP&E National Basketball League (NBL) played at the Palau National gym.
Trailing 33-31, the Nationals used their quickness to outscore 4x4 Wheelers with a 32-11 output in the third as they established a 63-44 lead. But it was far from over as the Nationals managed to halt any 4x4 Wheelers comeback as they went for the kill in the fourth with a 26-16 run.
Six players from the Nationals scored in double digits led by RB Dorado, who finished with 19, while teammates Timis Emesiochel, Medermel Yaoch, Edward Baysa, Marvic Ngchar and Ray Rumong tallied 15, 14, 13, 12 and 10 markers, respectively.
On the other hand, Gino Smau topscored for 4x4 Wheelers with 26 on the losing end.
In other games, Medalaii Stingers won over Idid Airwaves, 87-74.
Games resume tonight with Ngermid Rivals versus 4x4 Wheelers at 6 p.m. while Idid Airwaves will face Ksau Imaging Solutions at 9 p.m. Tomorrow’s matches will have Nationals against Medalaii Stingers at 7:30 p.m. as WCC Hammers will meet FR Spoilers at 9 p.m.
Thursday’s games will feature Medalaii Stingers taking on Peched Raw at 6 p.m. while Ngermid Rivals will face Breakers at 9 p.m.
