Ksau Imaging Solutions, Cardinals route foes in IP&E ABL

Teams Ksau Imaging Solutions and Cardinals continue their winning run as they routed separate foes in the ongoing elimination round of the IP&E Amateur Basketball League at the Palau National gym.

The duo of Sunshine Soalablai and Jason Brel proved too much as they led Ksau Imaging Solutions past Aimeliik Rainers, 94-66. After taking an 18-14 lead at the end of the first quarter of play, Soalablai and Brel led Ksau Imaging Solutions to a 21-16 run to close the first half with a 39-30 advantage.

From there, Solablai, Brel and the rest of their crew made sure that Aimeliik Rainers were kept at bay. Soalablai finished the game with 22 while Brel complemented his performance by adding 20 markers as Marlon Bechab topscored for Aimeliik Rainers with 25 on the losing end.

On the other hand, Rex de Asis poured 27 points as he led the Cardinals against Peches, 108-73.

In other games, Matakui won over Meda, 20-0; Blue Shark bested Ididers, 74-73; and Papago Smooth topped Melekeok Salty Boys, 63-60.

Games resume tonight with Mercury Optimax versus Melekeok Salty Boys at 6 p.m. followed by the Matakui-Bullets tussle at 7:30 p.m. while PCC Mesekiu will face the Ranchers at 9 p.m. Tomorrow night’s games will feature Stingers versus Mesang Red Storm at 6 p.m. as Breakers will meet Rivals at 7:30 p.m. while Melngoes will take on Airwaves in the night cap at 9 p.m.

Thursday night matches will have Cardinals against the Nationals 17 and Under squad at 6 p.m. as Meda will meet Papago Smooth at 7:30 p.m. while WCC Hammers will face Ididers at 9 p.m.
