PHS Spiders score 3rd win in ISL Boys varsity hoopfest

Contender Palau High School (PHS) Spiders nailed their third win at the expense of sister team PHS Bubuu, 90-43 in the ongoing 2012 Inter-School League (ISL) Boys varsity basketball league.

With the win PHS Spiders sport a 3-1 win-loss record while PHS Bubuu suffered its second setback for a 0-2 card in the team standings.

In other games, Belau Modekngei School (BMS) Awright barged their way into the winning column after beating MHS Cardinals, 52-37. Yamato led the scoring chores for BMS with 20 points while Uong led the Cardinals with seven markers.

Games will resume today with MHS Cardinals versus EHS Knight at 4 p.m. at the MHS gym while PHS Bubuu will face BMS Awright also at 4 p.m. at the PHS gym. Wednesday games will have EHS Knights against BMS Awright at 4 p.m. at the EHS court while MHS Cardinals will take on PHS Bubuu also at 4 p.m. at the MHS gym.

Only the top four squads will advance into the semifinal round which is set on November 26 while the winners in the semifinal round will advance to the championship game on November 28 while the losers will battle for the consolation match on November 27 at the Palau National gym.
