WCC Hammers best Beakers in IP&E NBL 2013

Team WCC Hammers showed might in the second quarter enough to beat Breakers, 93-78 Wednesday night in the ongoing 2013 season of the Shell IP&E National Basketball League (NBL) played at the Palau National gym.

After taking an 18-17 lead in the opening canto, WCC Hammers swing out a 30-15 run in the second to edge the Breakers, 48-32 at the end of the first half. From there, WCC Hammers sailed by swiftly to score the win.

WCC Hammers’ playmaker Mike Williams led the scoring clutches for his team with 22 as Kent Moore chipped in 15 while Joey Sumor topscored for the Breakers with 27 on the losing end.

In other matches, Ngermid Rivals won over Ksau Imaging Solutions, 20-0; PCC Mesekiu beats Idid Airwaves, 61-52; Peched Raw defeated 4x4 Wheelers, 98-66; Nationals 19 and Under downs Ksau Imaging Solutions, 108-76; and Medalaii Stingers beat Ngermid Rivals, 20-0.

Games resume tonight with 4x4 Wheelers versus Nationals 19 and Under at 6 p.m. while Monday night matches will have Medalaii Stingers against FR Spoilers at 7:30 p.m. as Peched Raw will meet Breakers in the main game at 9 p.m.
