FBL semis resumes Sunday
Two games will be featured on Sunday as the semifinal round of the 2012 Filipino Basketball League (FBL) resumes, Sunday at the Palau National gym.
Defending champion FR Spoilers aims to score their second win in the semis as they will face MJ Rangers in the opener at 1 p.m. The Spoilers will again have its line up led by Michael Bombita, Coco Gonzales, Lester Mendoza, Mark Pagayanan and Aries Echanova.
The Rangers, who are also looking for their second win, will be led by brothers Jay and Joemar Naguit, Mike Guevarra, Cid Aquino, Nico Hinoza and veteran skipper Jimmy Domingo.
In the main game, Western Union aims to bounce back from their setback last Sunday as they will meet Surangel and Sons at 2:30 p.m. Western Union, hopes to have its line up complete with Erwin Senadre suffering from a sprain in his right leg. They will rely on the team of Dennis Castro, Bong Alambra, Emerson Patenia, RJ Jusay and Medel Cuyugan.
The semifinal round will follow a single round robin format with the top two squads moving on to the championship round, which will be a best of three series, while the lower two teams will vie for the consolation game. By Peter Erick L. Magbanua (Island Times News)
