Teams comprise EHS Black Squires, BMS, PHS A, PMA Warriors, EHS White Squires and PHS B.  The round robin will be played on a home and away basis and finish on the 28th October.  Play-offs commence on the 29th October and the Championship game will be played at the Palau National Gymnasium on the 2nd November.

With the talent coming up from the SDA Elementary Team from last year to PMA, they would appear to be the team to beat.  Coached by National Youth Men’s Coach, Ziske Asanuma and assisted by veteran coach Rayson King, this team has been in training for the past months working hard on their fitness.

Their half court pressure defence will test most teams to their limit.  The EHS Black Squires, last year’s champions, experienced this yesterday, struggling to score in the first half and eventually going down 73-54.

Not only is this talent and development good for PMA, it is also good for Basketball Palau as many of these players will most likely be selected in the National 15 Years Men’s Squad or National 17 Years Men’s Squad in 2011.   Add to these the talent in the other teams and the future is looking bright.
