The National Program Committee (NPC) was in support of PBF President Frank Kyota’s decision to “get tough” on players who are not prepared to follow the development program.   The National coaches also supported the move and are satisfied that Palau basketball has sufficient young talent to develop into top players over the next few years.

Further players will be invited to join the squads and a full list should be available soon.  Meanwhile the bulk of selected players are attending the strength sessions each week and working on individual skills on two evenings each week.

In addition to the local players in the squads a number of off island players have accepted their selections and are working within the program.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
