Bulls take on WU in FBL Finals

One team guns for its first title while the other team aims to regain its lost glory.

This best sums up the upcoming season finals of the Filipino Basketball League (FBL) that will feature the Ilocandia Bulls against Western Union, Sunday at the Palau National gym.

After the games were reset last week, this Sunday will have both teams well rested as they collide for Game One of their best of three championship series. Game time is at 2:30 p.m.

The Bulls barged their way into the finals after their 90-86 victory over the Royal Cargo Rangers last May 25, this despite missing the services of two of their ace scorers namely Marvic Ngchar and RB Dorado.

With Ngchar and Dorado back in the line up, the Bulls are formidable as they will be joined by Edward Baysa, Joeger Supnet, Raul Osias, Ryan Cacho and Dondon Cabasal.

On the other hand, Western Union made their way into the finals also via 90-86 win over Surangel Stars in their own semifinals match.

Western Union aims for another title run as they will be led by Bong Alambra, Dennis Castro, Anon Cajegas, Al Obrero, Medel Cuyugan, Lemuel Alban, Chino Luis del Castillo, Darwin Fuentebella, Erwin Senadre and Jeff Barayuga.

Meanwhile, Royal Cargo Rangers will face off with Surangel Stars in a winner take all third place affair set at 1 p.m.
