Filipino Master League set on July 20
A total of nine teams had signified their intent to compete in the 2014 Filipino Master League basketball tournament which is set to tip off on July 20 at the Palau National gym.
Set to compete in the event for players age 40 years old and above are teams Originals, Mog-Mog, Melusch, Palau Pacific Resort (PPR) All Stud, Surangel, Hanpa, Mason’s Hardware, WCTC and Kabalikat.
TFCP’s Board of Director Angel Salvador will be the league’s chairman and will have Conrado Almanzar, Rey Fortus, Maria Paula Ngoriakl, Louie Molina, Max Asido and Fe Meseral. Serving as advisers for the league are Manny Kimpo, Boyet Arevalo and Grace Baconga.
Teams will have 15 maximum players. However, rules and guidelines for the tournament have yet to be finalized.
