GBH team A on a rampage in EASC Central Elem School hoopfest

Team George B. Harris Elementary School team A kept its clean slate in the team standings after beating Koror Elementary School (KES) Lady Stars, 36-35 in the ongoing 2013 EASC Central Elementary School basketball league.

Trailing 28-31 going into the final stretch of the game, GBH team A got their acts together as they unleashed their firepower spurting a 19-5 run to win the game. Lusii Rubasch led the scoring chores for GBH team A with 10 as Kazuo Oda chipped in 8 while Jacylyn Adelbai topscored for Lady Stars with 20 but was not enough to fuel a comeback.

With the win, GBH team A keeps its clean record with a 5-0 win-loss record while KES suffered its second setback as they take a 3-2 tally. Meyuns Elementary School Demul Fines sports a 1-3 card while GBH team B is at the cellar of the team standings with a 0-4.

In other games, GBH team A bested MES, 55-33 while KES defeated GBH team B, 40-7.

Games will resume today with the last game for the elimination round as KES will meet MES at 3:45 p.m. Semifinals will start on Monday at the Palau National gym supervised by the Palau Basketball Federation (PBF).  By Peter Erick L. Magbanua (Island Times News)
