Choppers meet Surangel and Sons in FBL Sunday

Darkhorse Aloha Maid Choppers will try to snap its back-to-back losing streak when they meet Surangel and Sons on Sunday in the resumption of the 2011 Filipino Basketball League (FBL) at the Palau National gym.

Sporting an 8-9 win-loss tally, the Choppers aim to solidify their bid in the quarterfinals in their 12:30 p.m. encounter. The Choppers will rely on the team of PJ Esguerra, Ronald Reyes, Mark Lofranco, Nelson Dupalco, Rey Potot and Noel Caparaz.

On the other hand, Surangel and Sons (7-11) aims to hold its ground with its team led by Ryan Tayag, Deloy Pingot, Eric Manio, Ador Hilvano, Melvin Parrinas and Sib Reyes.

In other games, the Spoilers will face the Guardians in the opener at 11 a.m. as the Ilocandia Bulls meet the Jaguars at 2 p.m. while Western Union takes on Hanpa Cardinals in the main game at 3:30 p.m.
