Idid 4x4 Wheelers opened the game with a 26-23 lead and then closed down the first half with a 28-21 output for a 54-44 lead. From there, they never looked back as they went on to win the game and take no. 5 spot in the team placings going into the play-off round.

Yutaka Gibbons Jr paced the Idid 4x4 Wheelers with 24 points while King single-handedly lifted the Rivals with his 56 point performance but was not enough as they take the no. 6 spot.

In other games, On Fire defeated PCC Mesekiu, 73-61; B.O.G. won over team Aqua, 65-63; PPR Shark Attack bested Ididers, 78-65; and Ikelauans drubbed Melwert, 88-60.

Games resume tonight with Riders taking on the Cardinals at 6.00pm.

Meanwhile in the WNBL, team Money’s third quarter run proved too much, as they went on to beat Sam’s Kryptonite, 66-49. After taking a 25-23 lead in the first half, team Money went guns a blazing as they outscored Sam’s Kryptonite with a 23-12 run to take a 48-35 advantage enough to secure the win with Sese leading the way with 26 points while Holly topscored for Sam’s Kryptonie with 14 on a losing cause.

The tournament sanctioned by the Palau Basketball Federation and is a tobacco, alcohol and drug free program. All violators will be banned from participating.
