BF Takes Development to LDS

Last week Basketball Fiji development coaches Lai Paumau and Mark Seccombe continued their Kaji Development Program clinics throughout the schools in Suva. BF took its travelling development program to LDS this time. Although it was wet and windy it certainly didn’t dampen the spirits of our young talented basketballers. They took to the court in numbers with approximately 35 students joining in at lunch time to learn the fundamentals of the game and had loads of fun at the same time. Next time I’m sure we’ll have plenty more participants as the other students watched on eagerly. No doubt LDS will be a force in the Primary School Competition that launches this Friday fielding teams in all three age groups.

Today FIBA Oceania Development Officer Mark Seccombe held a skills clinic for the U12 Vieuto Primary school team in preparation for the commencement of the Primary School Competition next week. The team were very enthusiastic and enjoyed the 1 ½ hour coaching session.

Basketball Fiji continues the Kaji Basketball Development Program with visits to Holy Trinity, Vieuto Primary, International School and Yet Sen Primary Schools this week.
