Koyamainavure shines again in host nation clash

BENGALURU (FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2017 - Division B) – Fiji’s quarter final matchup saw them up against host nation India. Boasting an undefeated record, didn’t Fiji from taking it right to India early. The first quarter was tightly contested but India eventually began to push out the lead.

The shining light for Fiji was once again Mili Koyamainavure, she has put on some great performances during this event. Ending the game with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists, Koyamainavure led by example. Tiyana Kainamoli also added 9 points and 3 steals.

Unfortunately, Fiji would fall, 93-51, to the home team in front of an entertained crowd. India’s speed, size and outside shooting proved to be too much for team Fiji.

As a result, Fiji will now face Sri Lanka on Friday 27th of July at 9:00 pm. For more timings please visit http://www.fiba.com/womensasiacup/2017/divisionb.
