2005 15/Under Little League Basketball in Chuuk
Ten teams participated in the 2005 15/Under Little League Basketball league. Every Sunday youth from all over Weno met at the gym and played hoops. Today was the championship game and it was exciting.
Before the championship game, Clark Graham, HOOPS' Executive Director, spoke to the teams about the importance of living a healthy and wise life. That includes not chewing betel nut or snuff, no smoking, alcohol or drugs, and being violence free.
Nepukos defeated the AWM Knights and the Tol White Rocks came in third.
Congratulations to all teams, players, coaches, and supporters. A special thanks to League Organizer Mr. Randy Nunez and corporate sponsor AWM.
Plans are already underway for another youth tournament in the not too distant future.
