Oceania Swim Championships are coming up this June 2018. So far, the team has 6 committed swimmers to compete against the best from around the region including Australia and New Zealand. This competition is held every 2 years and is the platform for our Junior and National Level swimmers to compete at in order to gain nomination status to international competitions such as the Worlds and Commonwealth Games.

This will be Jelani’s first competition under the Samoan flag. The 3 males competing at the Oceania Champs are Brandon Schuster (Samoa/California), Vernon Wetzell (California) and Thomas Auega (Auckland). This will be Vernon and Thomas’ maiden swim for Samoa.
Local swimmers Sitivi Sooaemalelagi, Durant Webster, Gideon Mulitalo, Andrea Schuster and Matthew Schuster were all invited onto the Team for Oceania Championships. The SSF is still waiting for final confirmation of their attendance.
