FIFA Women's Coaching Course progressing well

Accortding to Vanuatu Football Technical Director and national Coach Carlos Buzzetti the course is the first of its kind to be conducted in any island member of Oceania Football Confederation.
Most importantly, Carlos says the course is desinged by the Technical Department of VFF, and approved by FIFA.
"This is important because then when it comes to follow up courses it would be easy for me and the rest of the coaching team, as well as for the (women) coaches to understand where to continue from.
"It is always difficult to make follow ups locally on development programs designed by people outside and implemented in the country... but in this case I am very happy and we will try our best to keep these girls together as much as possible so that we can use them in our programs to the provinces".
Carlos says having women working with women helps a lot "because you can see them expressing themselves with comfort and confidence .. and this is very important".

The one week course is being conducted by FIFA woman Instructor Fran Hilton-Smith of South Africa. It was officially opened by Sports Minister Arnold Prasad at the Tennis Club on Monday 8 August.
The course is in two parts, theory and practical. It ends on Saturday 13 August.
