Vanuatu 20 vs Tonga 0
The Vanuatu Under 17s high score has marked their tiny island state's highes goal scoring margin by any Vanuatu national team in an international tournament.
The Oceania Football Confederation Under 17 World Cup qualifying tournament started in Noumea on Saturday 2 April with Solomon Islands defeating hosts New Caledonia 5-0 while Fiji outscored Papua New Guinea 5-2 in the other Group B match.
Meanwhile Vanuatu will play their final group match on Saturday against Tahiti before the semi finals on Monday 11 April.
Vanuatu are likely to finish second to Australia in Group A while Solomon Islands and Fiji are the obvious qualifiers in Group B.
Vanuatu are grouped with Australia, Tahiti and Tonga. In the other Group there are teams like Solomon Islands, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Cook Islands and New Caledonia.
