Vanuatu U17 arrive early in Noumea

The team left Port Vila on Friday evening 18 March, for their final preparations in Noumea.

The early trip to Noumea is made possible through a joint commitment by VFF and the Vanuatu Community in Noumea. Pastor Silas Waren has been mobilising the chief representatives from the different provinces of Vanuatu in the New Caledonia capital to host the Vanuatu junior team for two weeks. VFF Technical Director and National Coach Carlos Buzzetti is happy with the arrangements saying at least it will allow him to put his team through a final preparation before the tournament starts on Saturday 2 April.
Vanuatu will play Australia in their first Group A match.
They are pooled with Fiji and Tonga.
