NZCT backs Southern Zone Rugby League

The Southern Zone has received another generous grant from NZCT, the largest Gaming Trust in NZ. This grant will enable the Zone to continue to deliver the many initiatives and the ongoing support that it provides to its districts and clubs.

Southern Zone General Manager, Steve Martin said that “this funding is a further endorsement of the outcomes being achieved in the rugby league community in the South Island. All sports rely on the support of key funders such as NZCT to enable them to provide opportunities to participate. We are very fortunate to have NZCT as one of our major funders.”

NZCT is the largest funder of amateur sports participation in NZ with funds coming from the numerous NZCT operators up and down the country who run gaming machines in their hotels, bars and clubs. These venue operators, through having gaming machines in their establishments, ensure that there is an opportunity for funding to flow back into the community for sport.

The Southern Zone and rugby league in the South Island is very grateful for the ongoing support of NZCT.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
