Hi All
Availability of accommodation via a "Boarding School" environment to reduce costs associated with attending the Carnival in late September and early October
An opportunity has arisen for expressions of interest in staying in a Boarding School environment for the course of the carnival? It may be possible for Qld and WA to put in a shared “donation” to secure all of one or both campuses.
On offer are private single bedrooms and split bedrooms with two single beds. All rooms are fully air conditioned. Plenty of covered outdoor spaces, laundry and “common-room” facilities spread throughout both the boys and girls campus locations.
If appropriately licence driver(s) can commit to staying dry during the event, there may be an opportunity for one/both of the States to utilise the Toyota Coaster buses run by Cowboys Community Foundation too.
This is an opportunity to put together a “donation package” to a very worthwhile organisation. We cannot provide an indication of how much the cost is likely to be at this time.
More information about NRL Cowboys House and the Cowboys Community Foundation is available at http://www.cowboysfoundation.org.au/programs/nrl-cowboys-house/. No shots of the bedrooms (for privacy reasons), but the best pictures of the 2 campus layouts can be seen at https://www.cowboys.com.au/news/2018/10/23/girls_campus_is_looking_like_home/and https://www.cowboys.com.au/news/2017/11/02/big-lift-thanks-to-townsville-airport/
Being located within 5km drive to Murray Fields and 8km to Riverway Stadium, NRL Cowboys House is ideally located for our male and female Masters teams. We will include some maps on our wesbite to show how close NRL Cowboys House is to our 2 playing locations and the Gala Dinner at the Casino.
If this is of interest to you please email carnivals@mafq.com.au and we will be in contact with an indication of whether this will be available and the costs, etc.
