Among 16 teams in basketball category a woman shines in World Children’s Game. Czech Republic’s head coachVeronika Matejkova, is the only women head coach in the tournament. Matejkova answered our questions about the organization, Turkey and goals of them in World Children’s Game. Here is the interview;

First of all welcome to Turkey. What is your first impression about Turkey and Ankara?

We are so happy to be in here. All people are really nice to us. It looks like Turkish people warm and friendly. We are surprised about crowd and also traffic in here. The only bad thing is the bad weather. We all expected better weather here, because it's quite cold here but it is getting better luckily.

So you are the only women coach in the tournament. What do you think about it?

I don't know it is normal for me, because I’m also the organizer for street ball in Czech Republic. I'm used to be among boys and men and it is really enjoyable.

What do you think about 3 on 3 format?

I think it's awesome. We are really happy when we got the invitation for this event. So we called all the boys from Prague and yes, we are really happy, thank you for invitation.

The guys are playing street ball in your country also?

Yes but they play mainly basketball.

What's the contribution of the tournament to the children?

I think it is really good experience for them because they have never been abroad. In Czech Republic it is not normal to go somewhere for street ball tournament. I hope they can get a lot of experiences from here.
