Preliminary games has finally ended and it's time to fight for overall tournament positions which goes a long way to rank a nation in the FIBA World Women's Ranking. Ghana on friday 30th September at the Stade Du Pavillion arena will go into battle with Rwanda for a place in the 9th & 10th Position games.

Ghana at the end of its five preliminary games placed 6th with no wins losing all of its five games whiles Rwanda on the other hand finished its preliminary games with one win and four loses. Comparing both nations in this tournament, Rwanda has the best of records over Ghana. First of all Ghana did not record a win whiles Rwanda recorded a win which was against Guinea who placed 6th in Group B. In the area of Points for and against, Ghana has the least points scored in the tournament with 127points as of 280points by Rwanda. Rwanda have only allowed 277 points in their basket in all of its five games whiles Ghana has allowed 411points which is also the most points against at the end of the preliminary games.

A win for Rwanda will see them go up in the world rankings from their current world womens Ranking of 67th to the 50's or even 40's. On the other hand for Ghana a win or loss will still see a rise in their world ranking status as they are not currently ranked in the World. Comparing both teams in this tournament and with their world ranking status Rwanda will definately go into this game as the favourites with Ghana again as the under dog.

Hopefully a days rest for the Ghanaian team will reflect in a more positive outcome in today's game. Another positive for the Ghana team is that their team number has also increased to nine with the arrival of another Guard player  Cynthia Sosavi who arrived on Tuesday and played in their last game against Mozambique after playing four of its games with only 8 players.
