Aqua Smooth beats Meda, 65-61

Team Aqua Smooth did not let go of their defensive prowess as they were able to escape a 65-61 victory over Meda, Thursday night in the ongoing 2012 season of the IP&E National Basketball League (NBL) at the Palau National gym.

Pesky play maker Mike Williams finished the game with 28 points leading Aqua Smooth to their 13th victory for a 13-4 win-loss record in the team standings while Roydan Renguul topscored for Meda with 17 as they slipped to 7-12.

In other games, Spoilers won over Surangel Kings by forfeiture.

Games will resume tonight with Peched Raw versus Nationals 17 and Under at 6 p.m. while Mercury Optimax will face Aqua Smooth at 9 p.m. Tomorrow’s games will feature Islanders taking on Spoilers at 7:30 p.m. as Surangel Kings meets Kabong at 9 p.m.

Thursday night matchers will have Spoilers against Aqua Smooth at 6 p.m. while Mercury Optimax will take on Islanders in the main game at 9 p.m.
