Kryptonite scores back to back wins in WNBL

Contender team Kryptonite scored a double whammy after beating separate rivals in the ongoing 2012 IP&E Women’s National Basketball League played at the Palau National gym.

Kryptonite first defeated Peched Reds, 78-44 last May 24 and then went on to beat Odesangel Islanders, 80-22 Wednesday night.

In their Wednesday night game, Kryptonite showed no mercy as they held the Islanders scoreless in the opening quarter and established a 26-0 lead. From there, Kryptonite went on to score the win with Holly Farlin and Lucy Aguon leading the scoring fray with identical 18 points each while Alexandra Foster added 14.

The win gave the Kryptonite their seventh to sport a 7-1 win-loss card in the team standings. Diliau Kumaichi was the only Islander player who finished in double figures at 10 markers as they remain winless at 0-7.

Games will resume on June 4 with Peched Reds versus Belias Underdawgs at 6 p.m. while Kyrptonite will face Money on June 5 at 7:30 p.m.

June 6 game will feature Peched Reds against Smooth Riders at 6 p.m. while Belias Underdawgs will meet Islanders on June 7 at 7:30 p.m.
