KSG, Neco downs rivals in 2011 Rudimch Government/Business League

Teams Koror State Government (KSG) and Neco scored separate victories after beating rivals, Wednesday night in the ongoing 2011 season of the Rudimch Enterprise Government/Business League at the Palau National gym.

After taking a 21-16 lead in the opening tip off, KSG made sure and never looked back to secure their lead as they went all the way to beat MOE II, 73-64. Jaime led the scoring chores for KSG with 15 while teammates Mere Ise and Ivan Blesam chipped in 14 and 11 markers respectively as they now sport a 2-4 win-loss record in the government division.

Rusky Remoket, on the other hand, paced MOE II with 37 baskets but was not enough as they suffered their 5th setback to remain at the cellar with a 1-5 count.

In the business division, Kevin Keltner exploded with 34 points as he led Neco past a tough PPR Shark Attack, 77-70. Keltner’s performance pushed Neco within striking distance in the team standings as they are now locked in a three-way tie with SDA Crusaders and Fish and Fins Hunsters with identical 4-2 records.

Pesky shooting guard Dennis Castro led the PPR Shark Attack with 18 on the losing side as the slipped to 2-4.

In other games, MOE I Spiders won over PNOC/PBRA Mercury Optimax, 77-64; Sam’s Shark defeated Palasia Hotel, 73-69; Spoilers drubbed Fish and Fins Hunters, 90-61; PRR Dragons bested Dollar 99, 70-61; PNCC Molekoi outscored PNOC/PBRA Mercury Optimax, 82-75; MPIIC outpaced Justice League, 66-60; and MOF Omsangel outgunned PPUC Kamik, 93-80.

Games resume tonight with PNCC Molekoi versus MOJ Cops at 6 p.m. while MOF Omsangel will meet Justice League at 7:30 p.m. October 10 games will have MOE I Spiders against PPUC Kamik at 6 p.m. followed by the MOE II-MPIIC tussle at 7:30 p.m. while Neco will face the Spoilers in the nightcap at 9 p.m.
