Vale Sasha Hawgood

On 22nd January, a large number of friends joined the Hawgood family at Brisbane Sailing Squadron to farewell the late Sasha Hawgood, a much loved member of the club.

Sasha’s association with BSS dates back 20 years. Her junior sailing commenced in Sabots, during which time Sasha won two club championships. She also represented the club at interstate championships. Sasha then moved on to Lasers and sailed right through to 2017, despite a 10 year battle with brain cancer.

She will be sorely missed by all associated with the club and the wider sailing community. The Committee and members extend their condolences to Sue, Geoff and families.

R.I.P. Sasha Hawgood
